Plant Riverside District's Electric Moon Skytop Lounge offers monthly interactive mixology classes as part of the Mix It Up at the Moon series. Featuring master mixologists and brand ambassadors from around the globe, Mix It Up at the Moon showcases a rotating series of experts throughout the year. At each event, guests learn how to make two signature cocktails as well as signature dishes from the culinary team at Electric Moon.
The next Mix It Up at the Moon class will take place on Tuesday, March 14th at 5:30pm offering the opportunity to mix cocktails with Slane Irish Whiskey. Owner and operator, Alex Conyngham, will be walking guests through the complex tasting notes of Slane Irish Whiskey and various signature cocktails.
Alex Conyngham grew up and lives in Slane Castle that’s adjacent to Slane Distillery. Long-interested in creating his own Irish whiskey brand, Alex began his career in Irish whiskey in 2000 in Australia where he worked as a brand ambassador for one of the world’s leading Irish whiskey brands. Continuing his family’s vision of whiskey-making, Alex helped oversee the design of Slane Distillery and played a key role in working with Brown-Forman to create the Slane Irish Whiskey blend and overall brand proposition. As a co-founder, Alex travels the world as the face and voice of Slane Irish Whiskey, and enjoys welcoming guests visiting the distillery.
